Shayley rolled over, feeling blissfully at peace this morning. He was extremely happy and felt good and well rested. He opened his eyes and looked into the sleeping face of Lacie. "Shit." he whispered, butterflies exploding in his stomach. Fuck, just the thought of her caused butterflies to fuck and procreate in his stomach. He watched her sleep. Then he saw the most beautiful thing in the world. Her hair fell in just the right way and her lips were parted just right and he looked so peaceful ad was breathing just right, and it was just breath taking. She moved and rolled onto her stomach, ending his moment and the image. He licked his lips and sat up slowly, pulling on his boxers. He sat on the chair by his bed and made shadow puppets on her back because he's Shayley and does weird eccentric shit like that. Shayley had that feeling of beig watched and looked up to meet the eyes of Devyn. His big blue etes were wide with shock at the site of his mommy and daddy sleeping in the same bed. Shock went to delight in half a second, and he cheered silently. Shayley winked at him and then padded across the room and scooped up Devyn and walked to the kitchen. He set Devyn down and they talkef to each other animatedly, talking about how mommy was just going to love being made neon pancakes for a change, instead of her having to make them. The first pancake, neon blue, ended up on the ceiling but the rest came out just right. Devyn go out the syrup while Shayley made coffee and poured milk for Devyn in his little kids mustache mug. "Daddy are you and Mommy gonna get married again?" Shayley shook his head. "It's complicated Devy." Devyn's brows furrowed. He looked completely frustrated, making a face his mother usually makes. He looked a lot like her for a moment. "I hate that word!" He huffed. "Uncle Patrick is gonna pick you up, he's at the door. C'mon." Devyn grinned, he loved his Uncle Patrck. Shayley thanked Patrick for babysitting and sat down on the couch. He figured Lacie would be up soon.

Nights that Lacie didn't work seemed to be the only nights that she rested well. It seemed that even when she had Devyn, he knew how tired mommy was, and allowed her to sleep. There had been a numerous amount of times that she had woken up to him sitting on her bed, watching tv and cuddling her. The amount of love she had for her son though was crazy. Never in her life had she felt such love for a person. Shayley was a very close second, but that was a whole different kind of love. That was the kind of love that burned bright like the brightest star in the sky, and killed her to think about. In the year that she and Shayley had been divorced, part of her had died every time she had to see him... which was a lot considering she still considered him her best friend, and they tried to still raise their son together and do as much as possible together.
Lacie slowly opened her eyes, blinking slightly trying to figure out why her room looked so different. It didn't take her long to figure it all looked different because it in fact, it wasn't her room, but her ex-husbands. Part of her wanted to groan, but instead, butterflies threw a party in her stomach. The previous night came flooding back to her, drowning her in emotion. She let out a yawn as she uncovered her naked body glancing around the floor for her underwear, finding them and sliding them on, before going to his drawers and just pulling out a random shirt. She glanced in his mirror, quickly running her fingers through her hair to smooth it out a little, then opened the door slightly, peeking out to see what she could see. Padding through the hall, she walked into the living room, smiling slightly at the sight of Shayley sitting there on the couch. "Hey!... where's Devbug?" she asked, as normal as she possibly could.

Shayley sat and waited for what felt like forever but it was probably only twenty or so minutes. When he was with Lacie things always felt too good to be true. They were and he threw it all away. Now every smile was a stab to his heart. Lacie was still the sweet girl who loved him more than he believed he deserved. His eyes wandered as his thoughts began to jumble, but he stopped when he saw Lacie. His heart nearly stopped, he saw how beautiful she looked. Her hair was in a loose ponytail and she had no make up on. She was just breath taking. He smiled at her, and she looked all casual and that made him feel sick. Was last night just a hook up to her? No, she wouldn't do that, would she? His smile slipped away, and he decided he might want to answer her question. "Um. Patrick came and picked up Devyn. I thought . . . I thought we might nee some alone time." He stared at her then, not sure what to say. He licked his lips and tried to form words to keep her there. He always thouhh about Lacie, especially late at night. She's the cause of his insomnia, aside from his running mind. He's always thinking about her, and it's probably borderline psychotic. He missed her consistent routine, and the way she was simple. She never changed, not once, while they were together. She kept her hair the same length, her pajamas the same, and she fell asleep the same way, and she always nudge her knee against his by mistake and cuddled against him when she was cold. Devyn slept just like Lacie, and Shayley, and he was a wild sleeper, too; he likes to spread out. He's kicked Shay a few times, but it doesn't bother him; He loves when the kid sleeps with him. He tried to shut his head off and say something, but he only thought of Lacie. That's it, the girl of his dreams.

Lacie knew that last night was wrong. They shouldn't have allowed it to happen, yet they both went into it knowing exactly what they were doing. In fact, she had even asked him if he was sure that he wanted to go down this road again. Lacie loved the boy, and she would always find him physically attractive. The fact she found him dead sexy though, wasn't the reason she had slept with him the previous night. She missed him, a lot. Hell, it had been amazing to have him that close to her agian, to be together in such an intimate way. She hadn't been intimate since they had divorced the previous year, she just couldn't bring herself to be with anyone else in such a private and personal way. Maybe it was because she had never been with anyone else. That was definitely the reason that she would always love the boy. They had such an intertwined history that she couldn't picture him not in her life.
Shayley's smile absolutely killed Lacie. She felt the butterflies in her stomach again as she saw his smile, but her own smile faltered when his slipped away. She walked over and set right next to him, her feet pulled up under her bottom and her bare knees touching his thighs and her body facing him, eyes watching him. Her smile reappearing. "Good! Devyn loves Patrick."
she said to his first thing, before adding, "So...what are we going to do with this alone time?" she asked, wondering if he was wanting a morning go, like they often did, or if he was about to tell her that the previous night was a horrible mistake. Last night was... fun. I miss us hanging out." she said, trailing nails lightly across his leg as she talked. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Shayley’s lust filled caramel eyes watched Lacie fixedly. He wouldn’t be so lusty had not been for her nails trailing across his leg seductively. He licked his lower lip then bit down on it. He could tell what she wanted: Him. He wanted her just as much- if not more. Probably more. Shayley, in one quick and fluid motion, picked her up- each hand on a leg, holding her to his lower waist- and carried her to his bedroom. He kissed her passionately the whole way there, and set her down on the bed. His eyes were filled with love and lust- more so love. He loved this girl, the girl of his dreams. He loved her so much it hurt him- but in a good way. Like the kind of hurt from laughing too hard. Lacie was the cause of every good and terrible effect he’s had. Ha. Get it? Cause and effect? No? Whatever.
A slow crooked smile spread across Shayley’s face. ”I love you so much You have no idea.”
One hour later
Shayley opened his eyes, staring at the sleeping form of Lacie. She looked pretty. He reached out and moved a piece of hair from her face and tucked it behind her ear. ”What am I doing?” He whispered to himself. He was so confused. He couldn’t deny that he had feelings for someone else too. He closed his eyes tightly and sat up, black hair falling in his eyes. He took a shower and dried off his hair and walked back into the bedroom and laid back down by Lacie, just watching her. Damn was this girl a heavy sleeper. He remember how much she liked to sleep in though. He remembered a lot about her.

Blue eyes watched brown eyes as they watched her. Lust was apparently in those brown eyes, though the blue eyed girl had a pretty good idea on why. It's not like she wasn't causing it. Nails near that part of the anatomy could do crazy things to a guy, and she knew this guy very well. After all, they were together, and married for quite some time, and had only been apart for a year. It was obvious what Lacie wanted. She wanted to be with him, in every single meaning. Truthfully, she hadn't been with anyone else... ever. The last time she had had sex, prior to the previous night, was the last time they had had sex as a married couple. Truthfully, she doubted the same could be siad for him, but that couldn't be held against him, they were divorced after all. Lacie hiked up the shirt of his that she was wearing, exposing her thighs and glimpses of the underwear she had on. She straddled his lap, a leg on either side, but before anything else could be done, the boy was lifting her up, kissing her and carrying her back off into the bedroom. It appeared there'd be a repeat of the night before.
As she was laid down on the bed, she pulled him back down to reconnect their lips, until she had to pull apart for another breath. A sincere smile spread across her lips as she saw his crooked one and heard his words. "I love you more. God I miss you."
she said as their lips reconnected and she completely lost herself in the boy. After some sexy times and some sleepingThe scent of Shayley's bodywash assaulted Lacie's nose, but it wasn't bad. No, she quite enjoyed how this boy smelled. Without opening her eyes, she snuggled into him, taking in his smell. "You smell really good, babe." she said, eyes still closed. After a few moments, she finally opened her eyes and stifled a yawn. Sitting up to look at him, she didn't bother to cover her naked body. He'd seen it many times, and she wasn't embarrassed for him to see it, obviously considering what they had been doing not too long prior. Her eyes watched him for a moment, studying him, trying to figure out what he was thinking. Finally, she said "So what is this, to you? Was this just a hook up? Are we just two people feeling sorry for ourselves and taking comfort in each other because we're so familiar... or was it something more for you." Her voice was soft, she honestly just needed to know. "I just.... I can't get my hopes up if you're going to send them crashing back down." [/blockquote][/blockquote]
