| [atrb=border,0,true] It was raining, Dastan noted, back against the damp earth as he lounged in the park. It didn't really bother him -- he was dressed warm enough to handle it, or at least he believed himself to be. In truth, Dastan shouldn't have been out in the weather, nor should he have just been laying in the middle of the park, blinking restlessly at the gray sky.
Rain drops cascaded down on him, racing down his cheeks as soon as they hit his flesh. Eyes fluttering shut, Dastan breathed in deep and exhaled slowly. It was days like these that Dastan finally felt a little bit of peace in his chaotic Hell of a life; but, rain wasn't a constant. Rain wasn't always there to calm him down, and that's what the marlboro's in his back pockets were for.
Heaving in another breath, Dastan let his eyes flicker open again, ignoring the stinging in his sockets as the drops trickled into them. It burned, but he didn't care. The pain was a simple relief -- a way to show that he was still in fact human. There were many times when he didn't think he was. Each time there was a different reason, and each time the same release. The pain helped, he told himself everytime. The Pain made it okay... made him know he was alive and everything wasn't just some nightmare. He'd never intended for it to turn out the way it was, not really. He didn't want to hurt himself, in any way at all -- but how else was he suppose to keep himself grounded?
Fingers dug into the Earth, eyes clenching shut and brows furrowing in displeasure as his mind took control of him. He hated when that happened... when he found himself so lost in his own mind that he forgot about the world around him. Sometimes that was a nice thing, but out in the middle of a park it could be dangerous.
Dastan tongue lashed out, flashing across his chapped lips before disappearing back into the cavern of his mouth. That was the one bad thing about the rain... his lips always got dry, and he didn't want to get rain all over his chapstick. With a grumble, Dastan just went lax even more, letting the cool night breeze wash over him, the rain letting up to a light drizzle.

Maryan never complained when she had a shoot. Never. She loved photography. She'd spend all day exploring cities with nothing but her camera if she could. Unfortunately funds and time didn't allow for that so she shot when she got the oppertunity to, and when her job booked a session with a band for her. In her spare time though, when she wasn't working, she often found herself out in the woods, or in a busy city street, or, in tonights case, the city park.
She hadn't expected it to rain. If she had, she might have found an indoor place to do her exploring today. However, she didn't do that, and here she found herself caught in a rain storm. No hood on her coat. No unbrella. Nothing to protect herself, or more importantly her camera from the rain that was cascading down from the sky at the time.
She jogged through the park trying to remember in which of the many parking lots that surrounded the park she had parked her car in. She didn't want to be out in this much longer if she could help it! She jogged along, stopping suddenly when she noticed a body laying down on the ground. She slowed, approching the form and gasping slightly when she realized exactly who it was that was sprawled out on the ground like so. What on earth was Dastan doing? She dropped to her knees, beside him "DASTAN! Are you okay?!"
she asked quickly, relieved when she saw that he was, in fact, okay. "What on EARTH are you doing laying down in the middle of the park?" she asked, shaking her head lightly. The rain started to pick up, making it a very heavy and soaking her clothes and chilling her down to the bone. "WE need to get out of this before we both get sick!" she said quickly, getting up off the ground and offering him her hand so he could do the same. What she hadn't expected though was for him to pull her right back down. It caught her off guard and she tumbled back down, landing kind of awkwardly ontop of him. "Hey!" she protested, but not moving from her position. "Are you trying to make me sick?" she asked, laughing though to show that she was kidding and not at all serious. "You're actually kind of warm." she said referring to his body heat, which was the reason she was just content with laying ontop of him for the moment. "We should go take shelter in a slide or something though.... at least until the rain lets up and I can find my car...." [/blockquote]
