HI I'M MIKEY AND THIS IS ME:
this is mika, but he'd like it if you called him mikey. whenever someone calls the boy "mika" he would often snap at them with something along the lines of "i may be a musician but i'm not some pop act dude - i drum for these vices, not sing about golden things." so, basically, if you want to piss him off instantly just call him by his real first name.
mika was born in cape town, africa on the 5th of december. mikey's family stayed in africa until he was around 4, the 24 year old can't remember when they left but he's always know that hr was born in cape town. from then on he's lived in illinois, chicago to be specific. if you're wondering why exactly he was born in africa it's because his parents are animal scientists, they studied the local wildlife there for at least seven years. but back to chicagp. him and his family moved around the area a few times, the main one being when his parents broke up and his mother moved away to new york during high school for him. mikey planned to move with his mother at first but he stayed in chicago in the end.
mikey started drumming when he was eight. there wasn't any influence for him to start at first really, his dad just came home with this drum kit for an early birthday present one year. ever since then he's been drumming; mika fell in love with the instrument as soon as he saw it. he didn't really consider music as a career path until his friends invited him to join these vices. the boy was surprised they wanted him in the band though, mikey can be a handful to deal with if you don't know how to take him. he knows he can be sarcastic in a mean way easily, and generally quite pessimistic. if someone doesn't like that they they wont get along with him, but if not he will get along with anyone. yeah, he's not the nicest or most giving person as a friend, but he can still be a loyal one.
mikey's family isn't big, he has an older sister and brother: ava and hollis. he only has one set of cousins, and of course parents but that's all of the family he has.
to describe mika in a few words, apart from sarcastic and pessimistic, he is rather blunt, obnoxious, honest, open, stubborn, headstrong, protective, loud, and rather out-going. the boy isn't exactly kind, but he tries to be. for him it's harder than it seems because he's so naturally sarky, but if he's trying to be nice to you it means he likes you. that's the essential thing to remember; mikey does try for his friends, but if you're not close he probably wont trust you. this lack of trust may mean he treats you a bit coldly, even if he's just met you. making friends has never been mika's strong point.
