Not that she is mean and negative, but the girl has a way with words and more times than not those words are harsh. Honest mostly. Skyler is not the type of girl to go off and sugar coat things. If you ask her for advice, you'd better be prepared. She wont hold back. The poor girl some times just doesn't know when to stop. That doesn't mean she isn't capable of friendship, she has her band, whom she is closest with. Mostly her mouth is a wall. If some one can handle her and dish back what she throws out, then they are cool in her book. Ironically the only person she cant be honest with is her father, with the secret she has about her mother. Skyler has a lot of built up anger over the situation and toward her mother and some times takes it out on other people, especially after trips back home. Because of that, she has a bit of a trust issue with people. She trust only those he have given her reason to and those are the people she can really open up to and be close with. Skyler really is all bark an no bite. Once she is able to open up and be herself she is actually quite enjoyable. The girl is quite fearless and will try anything once if given the chance. Having more than the average girl. A mother and father who fell in love in high school, and kept that flame burning all through college, then getting married after graduation. Living in a gorgeous house on the beach and going to the best schools possible. Music lessons, and everything a young girl could really ask for. Skyler really couldn't complain about much, until her fathers small insurance business flopped and left the family with only their mothers "teaches income" to hold their heads above water. It wasn't long before the family had to pack things up and move out to Los Angeles where Mr. Arcada could find work. Nothing quite like before but enough to keep a roof over the families head and food on the table. Bless his heart!. After the move to LA was about the same time Skyler noticed the changes. Like the lack of communication between her parents. Mostly her mother toward her husband. Everything finally made sense one day when Skyler came home early from band practice and walked in on a strange man running out past her and across the lawn in his pants, holding his shirt and jacket, as he fumbled with his keys. Skyler couldn't even look at her mother for weeks after that. When she finally confronted her about it, her mother came back with tears, yelling, and excuses. Many times Skyler tired her best to tell her father but she couldn't. This incident really messed up the relationship she had with her mother, so Skyler found company and comfort when Jared, the owner of Eidolon Records took interest in her and started to form Enamour. Her mother found company in her son. Smothering him in love and attention, avoiding Skyler almost completely. Angry and hurt, Skyler quit her old band and focused all her time and energy on the project Jared put in front of her just to get away. It really helped take her mind off the family drama. She didn't think twice when the offer came up with Eidolon Records. She packed up her things again and hit the road. Touring really made it easy to keep the secret about her mother buried deep down inside her. It's a big reason why she hated being home. She doesn't know how to face everyone, and it's really starting to eat away at her.
